HBA Asian Hornet Convention (Saturday 25th May 2024)

It will be held on the Shawford Parish Hall on Saturday 25 May 2024 at 10.00 to 16.00. Invitees are limited to Association Chairs or Vice Chairs, Association Secretaries, Association AH Team leaders, Association Deputy AH Team Leaders

The aim is to drive forward preparations for the arrival of the Asian Hornet in Hampshire and neighbouring areas. 

Programme to follow after the BBKA Spring Convention when APHA is expected to make a keynote announcement on the current state of the incursion and the policy going forward for the deployment of AH Teams in support of the NBU. 

HBA Queen Rearing Programme (Saturday 1st June 2024 & Sunday 2nd June 2024)

HBA are holding a two-day queen rearing course here in Hampshire. These will be held on the 1st June & 2nd June as part of a two-day course. An Eventbrite link will be sent out near the time through the normal channels. The cost normally runs at £55, but HBA are providing discounted tickets for £40. 

HBA Bee Health Day with the NBU Bee Inspectors (Saturday 15th June 2024)

HBA are once again holding a bee health day with the Regional Bee Inspector Dan Etheridge & National Bee Unit, the venue will once again be the Sparsholt College in Winchester. Further details will be released direct to members through their associations. 

HBA Honey Show & Convention (Sunday 6th October 2024)

The Honey Show & Convention 2024 will be held on the Sunday 6th October 2024 at Sparsholt College, Winchester. Further information will be coming in regard to tickets and entry into the Honey Show. We hope that more of you will enter this year after on member being awarded a first and second last year.
