The local beekeeping associations in Hampshire listed below offer courses to those who would like to learn about beekeeping.  The format, duration and depth of these courses varies; please use the website and contact links for more details.

We strongly advise that anyone who wishes to start keeping bees attends a beginner’s course as the first step.  These courses are also suitable for those who would like to learn more about honey bees but are not ready to make a commitment. We also advise that you resist the temptation to buy equipment ahead of attending a course, or at least seek advice from an experienced beekeeper.
